This wasn't an unfamiliar sensation to him - dark, yet warm, protective, shielding. A place of safety in the end when there wasn't any other, a place of sleep and healing. He'd been there for twelve years, though they were hard to remember - misty images at best, with very occasional moments of clarity. His own life, what he remembered of it, seemed to dissolve in that darkness as well, though he'd always remembered his goal - sleep, and heal, until he was ready to leave again. Losing himself the first time had been wracking; sacrificing himself the second time had been easy. But coming back here a third time hadn't been what he was expecting, even with as difficult as the fight had become.

"What... What am I doing back here?" It was impossible for Ven to mistake this ...space... as anything other than Sora's heart. Being there once was enough to make anyone recognize the place again when they returned. Just... returning hadn't been on the agenda. His "voice" raised, moving out to the edge of the strange space he was in, into the darkness around his pillar. He didn't even have to look down to know it was his Station he was standing on. "Hello? Is anyone here?" He'd been alone there for so long, but recently there had been others, ones that had made it out with him as well - what had happened to them?
