A great battle remembered
Who: Xehanort and Disney Town, but more can appear
What: The second memory in the next chain...where does it lead?
Where: Memory chains
Warnings: Likely lots of violence against Heartless
There are seven new sparks of light remaining in the darkness along with the others at the end of Sora’s last available memory. When touched, the light of this memory opens up onto a place that may or may not be recognizable: the Great Maw near the old castle of Hollow Bastion. The two will instantly find themselves in a bad situation...there are Heartless on all sides, hundreds upon hundreds of them, and all ready to charge in to fight.
And standing against these hundreds are just three others: Sora, Donald and Goofy. The three look at each other, and nod in understanding. With that, they all split up, each attempting to take down a section of the army themselves.
The feelings associated with this include determination, and a surprising amount of optimism. Perhaps they belong to the knight, who is seen clearest charging into the fray with his shield at the ready.

And of course, those three... charging off to do battle. Though history has already shown how that turns out. Time is absolute and will not be changed... so here he is, to observe it seems. Sora is here, and active and well... though it is a recollection of Sora. What would come of interacting with him? It's a curious thought that bears investigating. However, he's farther away... before them is the section that Goofy is dealing with. Perhaps some assistance might grease the wheels of things...
His blade came to his call and he prepares to launch himself foward into the fray.

Now is not the time for pleasantries, Town. Can you not see that we are under attack
The voice of the Castle was right. Around them Heartless were swarming and he recognized those right away as well. They had been under siege from such foes before. "You're right, sorry," Town replies and then notices someone else on the battle field. "Maybe we should help," he says, before rushing forward, not even waiting for a response.

Huh? Goofy hears the Town's cry, but doesn't notice them at first, instead looking back to check on Donald and Sora. So far, they seem to be holding their own.
Meanwhile, the Heartless continue to charge, this time taking notice of the two visitors. They rush forward to try and take them down, too. None of them are strong Heartless -easily-defeated ground soldiers, mostly- but there are still seemingly countless numbers of them, and all clambering towards them.

Memories of beings already put to rest by the ready blade of their slumbering host. It didn't really matter in the end.
There was someone else there, someone whom he hadn't met before... well, here was just as well to meet someone new as anywhere else. Two minds were more apt to unravel whatever puzzles would be presented, after all. He raised a hand in silent greeting as he continued on, attempting to make progress through the unrelenting foes.

You can stop showing off. The others are more focused on the fight. Just take them out. Castle's voice advised.

Goofy began to catch sight of some other sort of fighting going on nearby him, something that obviously wasn't Sora or Donald. He couldn't quite see it over the hordes of Heartless, though. He continued to spin and bash his way through his section of the army, although now attempting to see if he could get closer enough to see who or what this was. A bit of confusion set in with the rest of the memory's feelings, but not so much that his focus was derailed.

"There's so many."

As the masses of Heartless began to thin, Goofy became more aware there was someone else here than just his two normal friends. Sora and Donald were too preoccupied with their own armies to notice, though. While it wasn't spoken, they were both able to get a distinct thought from Goofy: Gawrsh, is someone else helping, too?

"Don't let their numbers overwhelm you! We must continue on!"
War means war, and at this point in a sense he was helping his past Nobody-self, his key dispatching those destined for the Kingdom Hearts forming in the World that Never Was. How odd, to fight both sides at once!

Disney Castle's voice echoed in Town's head. He knew that his partner, the shared aspect of his world, was right. It was his job to protect his citizens after all. It was a task he had performed for a number of years now.
Town whipped the chain again and this time called out, "Balloon!" Instantly, several orbs appeared around him and burst outward. The attacks stunned his opponents and he followed up by swiping them--the stunned ones--with his chain.

Luckily, their ranks were really thin by now. Only a couple of the Surveillence Robot Heartless were left, and maybe about 200 Armored Heartless besides. With a couple more solid attacks from all of them, the army should be defeated.

Finally... the energy released in a rush, swirling down his arm to encapsulate his keyblade in a glowing blade of energy, giving it the appearance of a sword. He launched forward in renewed assault, the energy already starting to drain away. Not much longer, indeed...

Suddenly large balls of watermelon and pineapple fell from the sky and started landing on the Surveillence Robot Heartless. Some of the fruit merely impaled on the tops of their somewhat pointy heads, but the heavier fruit actually knocked them down or stunned them for the keyblade to take them out.

For a moment, this left the maw eerily empty, at least around their corner. Sora and Donald were busy finishing off the rest of their Heartless attacks, too.
This quiet was interrupted by a brilliant flash of light between the two fighters, revealing a bright, blue and green star-shaped object. The star-object just floated between the two, as if waiting for someone to reach out and take it.

[Congratulations, You've earned an Appeal! Specifically, an appeal of fighting to help one's friends. This little representation of the memory can be kept by anyone and shared between anyone that asks for it, in the same 'space' one would keep a Keyblade. It's up to those present who would like to hang on to the Appeal for now.]

When at last all of the foes had been dealt with, the appearance of the star-shape object had him transfixed. He reached out to take it in order to get a closer look, curious.

I never doubted you Castle repiled, amusement apparent in his tone.
Before he could say more or bask in the glory of battle, a light flashed between him and the guy with the keyblade. Town wasn't as surprised as the last time this happened and merely grinned wider. "Neat! We got another of those things." Town is now closer to not!Terra as he examines the star-shaped object, "Good job."

"I'm sure it's a clue, some sort of key... if we can figure it out, they'll probably help us. Maybe if everyone has one..."

"Guess we'll just have to keep trying to collect them and then see what happens."
